H.E.R.O.E.S. and Pro Cheerleaders Alumni
Team up for a Cause

(Jacksonville, FL) Tuesday, May 27, 2008 - Professional Cheerleaders Alumni, Inc., (PCA), comprised of ladies who formerly cheered for professional sports teams (primarily the Jacksonville Jaguars) recently teamed up with H.E.R.O.E.S. (Helping Educate Responsible, Outstanding & Enlightened Students) in a charity effort to raise money for at-risk youth. PCA’s mission is to be positive role models who are committed to having an impact on the community by providing service, opportunities, and support to activities that benefit women and children. H.E.R.O.E.S. has effectively served thousands of at-risk and underprivileged students over the past 10 years.

H.E.R.O.E.S. conducted an exciting and successful silent and live auction on April 17th at the ocean front Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville Beach. The auction helped accomplish the missions of PCA and H.E.R.O.E.S., as the guests bid on several prizes including trips and gift baskets, to name a few. With the help of the community’s financial support, PCA and H.E.R.O.E.S. are helping fund scholarships for at-risk K–12 students to attend accredited private schools where safe, effective, and captivating learning environments are provided. Their efforts have dramatically increased the odds of kids graduating high school and even attending college, breaking the cycle of poverty and at-risk mentality.
